Man and a scarecrow at an outdoor event on a sunny day, with tents and people in the background.

Hi! My name is Nima Naghavi. I am a 2nd year undergraduate student at the University of Houston, who is majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Media Production.

I’ve always been an advocate for using flashcards to study. I started this obsession back when I took gen chem and made physical notecards for every little concept & practice problem. I even brought them to work and became known as the “flashcard guy”. I carried this study method into Orgo and switched to Anki, where I had even more creative freedom to make exactly what I wanted.

I feel like flashcards get a bad rep for being boring, and I get it. Nobody wants to read blocks of text while trying to figure out that “np ftfm” is actually an acronym for “newman projection for the following molecule.”

When making these flashcards, I wanted to create something that was user-friendly, and did more “showing” then “telling” by using my own illustrations. I also wanted the flashcards to be as extensive as possible when it comes to UH chemistry. I hope you guys can see that when trying them out :D
